JOHNSON STORAGE & MOVING CO. TRANSPORTS SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

CENTENNIAL, CO—Feb. 22, 2010–Prior to the start of the 2009-2010 National Football League (NFL) season, Johnson Storage & Moving Co. of Kenner, LA - agent for United Van Lines, the nation’s largest moving company - was given the responsibility of moving the equipment to support the New Orleans Saints.  After winning the National Football Conference (NFC) Championship on January 24, the Saints along with Johnson Storage & Moving Co. headed for the Super Bowl in Miami, FL.

The ground transportation crew included Johnson employees, Wayne Ray, Howard Todd, Butler Turnbull and Ron Campbell.  A trailer acted as a temporary warehouse and a box truck was utilized for moving the Saints gear and supplies around the city.

“Being a life-long season ticket holder and a big fan of the Saints, this opportunity to actually work with the team in providing a service was a blessing for me and a great opportunity for Johnson Storage & Moving.  The Saints winning the Super Bowl made this experience even greater!” said Ray.

The twelve day assignment included moving equipment to and from the following locations:
•    Saints training center
•    Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport
•    Miami International Airport
•    The University of Miami
•    Sun Life Stadium
•    Dolphin Field
•    Three hotels housing the Saints and media

CENTENNIAL, CO—Nov. 30–Johnson Storage & Moving Co.-agent of United Van Lines, the nation’s largest moving company- is pleased to announce that Julie Johnson has been named Vice President of the 2009-2010 Rocky Mountain Relocation Council (RMRC) Board.

The RMRC is a not-for-profit association of relocation professionals concerned with “relocation trends and issues and the increase in the general awareness of relocation as a profession.”

“I am honored to be named to this position and I look forward to a great year,” said Johnson.

Johnson has held the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Johnson Storage & Moving Co. from 1998 to present.  Her term on the RMRC Board expires in 2010.

Johnson graduated with a business degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1985 and joint JD & MBA degrees in 1993.   After her undergraduate degree, she worked in Product Management with Nestle International Company in Los Angeles, followed by an assignment as Regional Development Director for the Colorado University Foundation and the College of Business in Boulder.

After obtaining her law and MBA degrees, Johnson worked with the law firm Chrisman, Bynum & Johnson in Boulder for 6 years as a corporate securities lawyer, working on real estate deals, mergers, acquisitions, public offerings & general corporate work.  In 1997 she was heavily recruited to join the family business by the President of Johnson Storage & Moving Co., Jim Johnson, who is also her husband.

JSM Moves and Stores During Manor Vail Restoration

CENTENNIAL, CO-Apr. 23 –Johnson Storage & Moving Co.-agent for United Van Lines, the nation’s largest moving company- worked with Manor Vail’s General Manager, Leana Roberts, to itemize and move more than 10,0000 items emptied from condominium units that were vacated in preparation for an extensive remodel and expansion of this slope side property.  All items were stored at the Johnson secured warehouse in Denver.

“I tell people I’ve moved 246 times in the last year-and-a-half,” said Roberts, as quoted in the Vail Daily.

Located at 595 East Vail Valley Drive in Vail, Colorado,  Manor Vail has reopened after closing for over a year for a major renovation which included the addition of a fourth floor.  Many of Denver’s most prominent citizens own property in this landmark Vail building.  The sale price for the expansion units rivaled record setting prices for Vail which can top $3,000 per square foot.

Johnson Awarded Three Top Honors 2008 United Van Lines Conference

CENTENNIAL, CO—Feb. 9 –Johnson Storage & Moving Co.-agent of United Van Lines, the nation’s largest moving company- was honored with the following three awards at the United Van Lines annual convention in Palm Desert, California November 5-9, 2008.

Johnson Storage & Moving Co. was awarded the prestigious Impact Leader Award by United Van Lines in 2006, 2007 and again in 2008. This award is based on excellence in household goods cargo claims prevention and encompasses packing, hauling and warehousing.

Johnson Storage & Moving Co. was awarded the President’s Club Award.  This award honors agents demonstrating excellence in annual booked line haul revenue between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008.

Johnson Storage & Moving Co. took third place in the award for Excellence in Loss Prevention.  This award recognizes agents who achieve Best in Class safety performance as named by Vanliner Insurance Company.  Johnson won this award in 2007 and 2008.

Thursday, October 16, the Better Business Bureau held the sixth annual Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics celebration at the Denver Center for Performing Arts.
